    By Stuart Levine
"Nip/Tuck" star Julian McMahon has been attached to a TV adaptation of the 2005 Stephen Frey novel "The Chairman."

Rights to the book have been optioned by management and production shingle Roar, who are in discussions with potential writers to pen the pilot. They are also looking for a broadcast or cable network interested in the project.

Frey is a bestselling author who specializes in the financial world. He has vast experience with the machinations of Wall Street, with a resume that includes working in mergers and acquisitions at JP Morgan.

McMahon, who is repped by UTA and Roar, appeared for six seasons on the FX medical drama "Nip/Tuck," and had a role last year in the Bruce Willis bigscreen pic "Red." He would play Everest Capital topper Christian Gillette, who Frey introduced in "The Chairman" and became a recurring character in several of his books.

Frey is repped by literary agent Cynthia Manson and APA.
