6.15 -Virginia Hayes - The Final Nine

I had been looking forward to this one since we got the casting call about Escobar Gallardo being on this one. He is my very favorite villain on Nip/Tuck so I was very happy to know we would get to see him in one of the final 9 episodes.

I loved it!!!! So much going on though, my head is spinning. WOW!!! One of the best of the season and it sure had a season 1 feel to it. I loved season 1 so I am a happy camper right now.

I do have to say that this one was kind of hard one to write up because it had a LOT of stuff in it, lots of old history from the Pilot and their past, I did try to get everything but I know I may have missed some things, I will rewatch it a couple more times but if anyone sees something I did not get or got wrong please put it up here. You really needed to see some of this to get it all but I will give it my best shot.

I loved that the previously on N/T included stuff from The Pilot. Very cool.

We started out with Sean and Christian talking to a young girl. Christian asks her how old she is and she tells them she is 15. They ask her if her mother will be there because she is too young. She tells them her mother is dead. She then tells them that she is Escobar's daughter, Aurelia. She wants them to help her find out about herself, she has started therapy. She asks them about Silvio Perez, telling him he was a business associate of her fathers, Sean starts to answer her but Christian interupts and says he does not remember a client by that name. Aurelia tells them that he disappeared. Both of them deny knowing him or having him as a patient.

I might be wrong but I think that the music in the background during this scene was the same music used in The Pilot. Hopefully someone else noticed that too.

Christian and Sean are then arguing about telling her about how Silvio molested her. Sean tells him that he thinks Christian should understand since he knows what it is like to be abused as a young child. Christian tells Sean they could be implicated in any number of crimes, including something from the EPA about feeding alligators. .

Liz wants to know what is going on and Sean tells her about Escobar's daughter coming to see him. Liz tells them she is not going to let them do anything that in any way brings Escobar back into their lives even if it is just dealing with his daughter. She really goes at Sean about his guilt!! She does not usually yell at Sean.

Christian meets with Viriginia Hayes. She tells Christian the bouncers would say "Right this Way 10". Christian flashes back to the time during the Pilot when Kimber tells him the same thing. Nice moment. She is an actress. Virginia asks him if he will "bang" her on the desk right now. He does not do it. (I was shocked. ) He tells her to go back home and just be happy she does not want to do that if she goes back now she goes back a failure.

She decides to have breast implants. Liz and Christian have a nice conversation about it being just a simple surgery. Liz says that is nice since their OR seems to be over the gates of H*ell. She then mentions how Virginia looks a bit like Kimber and they talk about the first surgery Christian did on Kimber. Nice scene!!

We then see Sean and he is drinking and the stereo keeps coming on to the song "Cars" (you just know he is about to see Escobar, I loved that song!!) and then he sees an alligator. Then Escobar shows up and gives Sean a gun to kill the alligator. He keeps telling Sean to kill the alligator, he said that even he only went to second grade and he knows that the alligator is a metaphor for Christian. Escobar tells him it is Christian who has taken pieces of Sean's soul and to kill the alligator!! Sean did say that he made his own choices but Escobar started talking about Christian again. Sean wouldn't kill it so Escobar shoots the alligator and hands Sean a knife and tells him to open it up and look inside. Sean does it and finds body parts, I thought it was pieces of Silvio BUT , he finds the wrist band that he wore that said McNamara, Sean on it. Escobar tells Sean he has to do something about Christian and Sean tells him that Christian is his best friend. Escobar then tells him he can eat or be eaten!! The hallucination ends with Sean alone again.

We then see this lady come into McNamara/Troy and says she is looking for Virginia Hayes. Christian asks her why? She tells him that she is the REAL Viriginia Hayes. That the other one has stolen her identity. They look for her and they discover that the fake is gone. The real Virginia has had a PI looking for her for 3 years. She is spending all her time trying to get her name cleared. Christian asks if he can help and she goes off and tells him not to be such a chump, believing sob stories like the fake Virginia told him.

Sean goes to meet Aurelia in the park. He tells her that her Silvio did molest her when she was 6. He tells her that Silvio offered them a lot of money to do his surgery, they did not know why. Then he wanted another surgery. Sean told her that Escobar found Silvio and he wanted vengeance for what he had done to her. She asked if he killed Silvio and he told her no that Alejandro did it and explained why. He also told her that Alejandro followed them to the swamp and that later Escobar killed him, he said to protect Sean and Christian. She thanked him for telling her the truth. Sean sees Escobar again.

The fake Virginia Hayes is at a pharmacy trying to get pain pills. Christian walks in and tells her he is going to call the police. She asks him not to and he asks her if she has a check for him. He then asks her about all she did stealing. She gives him this big sob story about how she just had all this bad luck. Her name is Marcy. Christian tells her if she had told him the truth they could have worked something out and how if she comes back to the office he can even do a bit of lipo and how he became a surgeon to help people. LOL Ok even I know this is just Christian blowing smoke at her.

We then see them in the OR and Liz asks Christian what he is doing because it is not lipo, he tells her that he is removing the breast implants. He is tired of gold diggers taking advantage of him. Liz tells him she understands how he feels and that he is still feeling anger about losing Kimber but is this the way to deal with it? He goes ahead and removes the breast implants and has Linda close for him.

The fake Virginia wakes up and sees that her implants have been removed. She asks him how he could be so cruel. He said that being cruel would have been to call the police. He tells her that she can stay the recommended 48 hours. Christian gives her pamphlets for a woman's shelter. She asks if he will give her the real Virginia's number so she can say she is sorry. He tells her that the real Virginia will just call the police. She says maybe she will be nice and they can work something out. Christian gives it to her!!! I can't believe that was a good idea.

Christian goes out in the waiting room and there are FBI agents waiting to see them. They are there asking about Silvio Perez. The FBI agents ask them about the story that Aurelia told them and Sean and Christian deny ever knowing Silvio. The agents ask for all the records they have and tell them that they are now doing an on going investigation looking into what Aurelia told them. As they are leaving Christian tells them they give a 20% discount to law enforcement. LOL I loved it, he is so Christian !!

When the agents leave Sean, Liz and Christian are talking. Liz says she will go get rid of records, Christian tells her to shred them. Sean tells them that he never thought she would go to the police and that he is sorry. He just thought she should have someone be honest and care about her. Escobar then appears again to Sean and tells him not to apologize and that it is all Christian's fault and that Christian has no respect for Sean. He tells him to get in Christian's face and tell him off but Sean does not do that. Escobar is telling Sean to call the cops and how he can say it was all Christian's fault and it would be Sean's word against Christian's word and who would the believe. Christian then tells Sean it will be ok that is it their word against the girls and who will the police believe? The same think that Escobar said.

We then see the Marcy laying in bed when the real Virginia walks in and they talk a little bit then she picks up a pillow and smothers Marcy.

Christian comes in the next day to check on the Marcy and tells her how sorry he is about how he treated her because he has had a bad couple of weeks. He then checks and sees that she is dead. He goes to sell Sean and Sean is going through records and how glad he is that they did not have electronic records on Silvio.

Christian then tells Sean Marcy is dead. Sean is mad that Christian operated on her without her consent. Liz comes in and tells them that Marcy is dead. Sean and Christian are talking about getting rid of her and Christian said they have no choice and Sean tells him he has a choice but Christian does not and Sean starts to pick up the phone to call the police. Christian stops him by saying how he will not have the money for Conor to go to college. Sean puts the phone down. Another shout out to the Pilot when Liz yells at them to "Fix this!!

They get Marcy's body ready and take her into the desert and bury her. Once again they use Sean's car to carry the body because Christian says his car would stand out too much. They are going back after they buried her and Sean sees Escobar again in the car he says stuff about the music playing in the car and then Christian says the same thing,they did that 2 times tonight. I did not like it. Earlier Escobar had told Sean that he and Christian were both to blame for Sean's fate and that at least Escobar was dead and could not do anything else and asked Sean what he was going to do about Christian. Not liking the comparison of Christian to Escobar....but then we all know how protective I am of Christian.

I loved all this past stuff from the Pilot but at the same time it made me miss some of the things I love about Nip/Tuck that we no longer have. But it was still a great one for me except for one thing....

In the Pilot I totally get why they had to get rid of Silvio's body like they did. BUT I think it was stupid what they did with Marcy's body tonight. I know that she did not consent to the breast implants being removed but I am sure they could have lied their way out of that one since she did agree to the lipo that Christian had promised her. People die all the time and had they bothered to check it out they would have realized that she died because she was smothered by Virginia. It just did not ring true for me that they had no choice to do this. Maybe I will feel differently when I re-watch this and oh boy am I going to be re-watching it.

I would love to make a list of all the references to the Pilot in this one.

I do continue to be sick of all of Sean's bad things being blamed on Christian, I swear when I am watching I hear him called "St. Sean" (and I LOVE Sean) but that is what they are doing so I am trying not to let it get to me, most of the time I am good at it.

I am going to miss Nip/Tuck so so much, tonight reminded me why. I love this show for all its faults, it is still my favorite thing to watch...gotta stop I am killing myself here.

Oh and one more scary scene from that preview of the final 9 went away tonight!! The one with Sean having a gun and talking about Christian and it led us to believe that Sean might hurt Christian with it, well that whole thing was in tonight. It was the scene with Sean and the alligator. Sure glad that one has been explained.
